Sweden is one of my ancestral countries

After travelling here to attend the Stockholm Writers Festival, I’ve enjoyed my time in Sweden. I came by train, passing through the deciduous forests and farmlands of Skane. It was from there that my grandfather ventured to the New World in the late 1800s. He met mu Norwegian-born grandmother in the US and they came to Canada together. This is my first visit to Scandinavia, and as a poet friend suggested Grandfather Olof is walknig beside me.
